After my last visit to Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster County, Virginia; I was on my way home and passed a driveway heading off to my right. I actually turned around and came back and took a photo. The late afternoon sun just did really cool things with the shadows and atmospheric perspective not to mention the lovely fall colors. The winding driveway was also pretty cool.
This is the photo I started with. And here it is on my iPad at the easel.
Now, in the finished painting, I went back and added the support bars to the fence. But I’m not really liking how it looks and may go back and take them out again. Here is what it looked like without the supporting bars. What do you think? Leave them in or take them out? They feel distracting to me and too busy.
