I decided it was time to add a little something to my CV and I took the plunge on November 1, paid up my dues and submitted two paintings for consideration to the Oil Painters of America (OPA). I am happy to report that yesterday I received an email letting me know that I had been accepted.

Yesterday I also paid dues to become part of the Portrait Society of America (PSA). These are the folks who host PACE every so often.

Both will give me opportunities to paint for and submit to national level competitions in the future.

I look for these organizations for inspiration and motivation as I continue to build my professional position as an artist.
