It is hot and muggy here in the Northern Neck right now, so I’m sort of glad for a studio focused painting to keep me busy. This coming week should be cooler and I’m looking forward to working outdoors at least one day with my painting buddy, Daphne. We will probably be at or very near her farm as one of her beloved Arabian horses is expecting a foul — like any minute now!
I planned to just work on this gal’s muzzle yesterday, but, you know, sometimes paintings just grab you and suck you in. Before I knew it, the clock was chiming noon and I’d been at it for several hours. I’m happy with the progress made. This layer needs to set up a bit before I proceed, but that’s just fine.
