This is the last painting of 2017. I’m waiting for it to get good and solid so I can varnish it and take at least four of these down to the RAL Art Center to hang in my wall rental space.
And had the joy of selling one of the little bird paintings to a dear friend and made delivery to a central location for her to pick up today.
Ordered and received some new linseed oil out of Canada that is supposed to avoid yellowing. I like that it is very low odor and I’m looking forward to trying it out. It is thinner than the Solvent Free Gel from Gamblin and much thinner than the Stand Oil I use some of the time. I’m curious to learn how quickly it sets up.
