Gardening Again

I love Spring. It means my garden is coming back to life. And the asparagus is emerging, the azaleas are blooming and the Spring onions are ready to harvest.

Of course, today it is raining and it’s supposed to continue to rain here until Wednesday when our little town of Heathsville is one of the featured stops on the Historic Garden Week bus tour.

Anyway, to celebrate Spring and prepare for a new round of produce and glass paintings, I’m attempting to bake Baguettes today. I think it would be fun to add a rustic looking loaf of bread of some sort to my still life paintings, perhaps with a big old hunk of some sort of cheese… with some fresh produce in or on or around some neat old glass object.

I’ll have to work on it. Ideas are bubbling.
