In Lancaster Courthouse

Went with the Northern Neck Plein Air Group to the Mary Ball Museum in Lancaster Courthouse today. Initially, it wasn’t too uncomfortable, but by 11 a.m. we were melting and even our paint didn’t want to cooperate.

My goal today was two fold: Simplify and improve my brush work. I didn’t succeed 100% on either, but I’m getting better, I think.

Here is a closeup and some photos of what I was looking at. The closeup is closer to accurate on the green in the treeline. :
