This is the entrance to the museum at Fort Monroe. The photo has a bit of a glare on it. I had fun painting this and I think I may use this as a reference for another, larger painting. I’m also thinking it might be cool in pastels. What attracted me to this location was the lovely dappled shade under the trees where I was standing, and especially the strong shadows being cast by the window ledges and across the doorway.
