Was back at Fort Monroe on Saturday for the Plein Air Painting Event with Hampton Arts League presented by The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center in Hampton, VA. Trees are a particular challenge for me as regular readers know. This is my second painting for the day (I’ll post the first one tomorrow) and after nearly two weeks with no sun, I wanted to really try and capture the bright light of the afternoon. This lovely little tree just seemed to glow in the sunlight and I just had to paint it.
As with all nearly all of my work, this one is available for sale here.
Love the colors, very “spring” and I am a big follower and fan of the glow 🙂
