Another Monday and a different model. Did this one on brown craft paper. I could not figure out in the studio exactly why she looked younger in the drawing then she did in real life. I mean, she is young — in her early 20s — but she is not 6 years old. So, I snapped her photo as well.

And then I saw it. The forehead is too short and the chin too small and her eyes are also just a tad bit small. Did I capture a likeness, yes. Did I capture her on Monday morning… not exactly. But I really like the photo and the pose and will make an attempt at a painting either in oils or pastel at some point in the future.
