Down Betts Mill Creek

DSC02608

Down the creek (or is it up the creek) from us, is a neighbor with both a fishing boat and a sail boat and a neat old pavilion down at the dock.  To get to their dock, you pull into a sort of small cove or inlet. The crabber who puts traps out in our creek uses orange bouys and there was just something very neat about how the light coming up the little cove was lighting the trees and and the fishing boat, the dock and bouncing around on the water and touching those bouys.

I learned a few things while working on this painting and may try it again larger so the fine lines look like fine lines… This one is 8X10 inches. And I would like to find a way to improve my painting of trees… I probably just need to start painting a bunch of trees.
