The Heathsville Farmer’s Market is held from April to October on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. I snapped a picture of one of the ladies who helps out so much during the event every month. What caught my eye was the way the bright sun was shining through the holes of her straw hat on to her shoulder. Well, all the shadows, the reflected light and just her delightful expression, all just cried out for a painting. I’m hoping she will forgive me for moving forward without talking to her about it first.

The painting is not for sale to the general public at this time as I think she should probably see it first and decide if it deserves a place in her personal collection. If not, I will probably just keep it for my personal collection.
